Bio

Norwegian soprano Susanna Yttri Solsrud graduated with a first class Distinction from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she studied under the tutelage of Sarah Rhodes and Eiddwen Harrhy. During her time at the RNCM Susanna performed the role of Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito (Mozart) and Clara in La Vie Parisienne (Offenbach) in RNCM Opera Scenes and sang in the choruses of La Vie Parisienne (Offenbach) and Theodora (Händel). Susanna also holds a masters degree in music pedagogy.

Susanna is a versatile singer and actor. Recently she produced and performed a concert-show that will soon be touring Norway. Susanna has taken part in many of Bergen National Opera’s productions, including the acclaimed production of Peter Grimes that won Gramophone’s classical recording of the year in 2019. Susanna regularly performs as a guest member with Edvard Grieg Choir in Bergen, which most recently included opera chorus for Bergen National Operas production of Marry Widow in the spring of 2022. This summer Susanna sang in the opera chorus of Oscarsborgoperaen’s production of Otello. Future engagements include opera chorus for the Magic Flute with Edvard Choir and Bergen National Opera, as well as chamber music concert across Norway and England. Susanna is also a certificated singing teacher and has a lot of experience teaching students at all ages and levels.
